ABOUT

ME!

Sean Young is a student at Burr and Burton Academy who is very involved in the Cinema Department at the school. He is the assistant director of the fall film this year. In doing this, he has a variety of jobs including scheduling, coordinating with the actors, coordinating with the crew and director, as well as a number of other jobs. He is also the student producer of the schools annual Gawlik awards show. His jobs include organizing the presenters, assisting in the nomination process, organizing the nominees, and a number of other things on the day of the event. On top of that, he is a three-year member of the varsity track team at the school. Despite being very nervous before his first day of track, it has quickly become his favorite part of school. The team is like his second family. He is also a two-year member of the schools' Student Ambassadors. As a member of this program, he gives tours to incoming students, faculty, and families as well as helping with events like graduation and transfer student orientation.  Outside of school, he is an employee at Hannaford Supermarket, has helped to coordinate the St. Baldrick's shave for charity, and has been a camp counselor for a number of summer camps including the Burr and Burton success camp- where he was named counselor of the year- and the cinema camp. In his personal life, he splits his time between his mom's house in North Clarendon, Vermont; his dad's house in Dorset, Vermont; and his dad's fiance's house in Yardley, Pennsylvania. He has lived in Vermont for almost his whole life, spending most of it being raised in the small village of Londonderry, VT. That said, he is originally from Montclair, NJ where he lived for one year before moving to Bernardsville, NJ. He lived there for another year before making the move to Vermont. He loves going hiking, swimming, and watching Netflix. He proudly considers himself to be one of the world's top binge watchers. When he goes to college, he is hoping to study Political Science/ International Relations with hopes of one day joining the State Department or the United Nations. Right now, his top choice schools are American University in Washington, DC; Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY; Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA; Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA; and Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ.
